Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEBERHARD SCHUMANN January 30, 1941 - May 31, 2008 At the age of 67, after a 20-month battle with cancer Abe passed away on May 31, 2008. Left behind to remember him always is his wife Winnie, her family and those whom he considered his good friends. In Germany, his birthplace, his sisters, their families, a newfound cousin and a special aunt will also mourn him. Abe worked for CP Rail until retirement in 1992. An avid reader, especially Egyptian history, he also loved nature and his garden. He did all this while enjoying his other passion shortwave radios. He was a loving, caring husband and a good, kind friend. Also, along the way he became a Cat LOVER. Thanks for all the care from those at CancerCare, MacCharles Unit, especially the volunteer wheelchair angels as he called them. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society or any of the No-Kill Shelters and to CancerCare.
